Chaiti & Omar Emara are Caught in Limbo on New Single ‘3ala Baly’
The deeply introspective cut blends a driving Afro-house beat, tabla-led percussion and emotive storytelling.
Egyptian producer and live performer, Chiati, has reunited with his long-time music partner in crime, vocalist Omar Emara, on new single, ‘3ala Baly’.
Nearly a decade into their creative partnership, the duo have built a distinct lane within the Arab house circuit, one defined by experimentation, forward-thinking productions and emotive storytelling, demonstrated in releases like 2021 album, Pantomime.
Released via US-based imprint Treble Recordings, ‘3ala Baly’ expands on the sonic palette of Chiati and Emara’s 2025 collaborative single, ‘Zaman’, pushing further into a driving Afro-house framework. The track is textured with analog synth swells, tabla-led percussion, and melodic phrasing rooted in Middle Eastern scales, which is a signature production language of Chaiti’s.
Against this rhythmic, infectiously dance-y backdrop, Emara delivers a soulful vocal performance. His lyrics are deeply introspective, tracing the emotional inertia of being suspended between fantasy and reality, caught in cycles of hesitation and self-deception. This mix is what gives the track its edge. It’s not a mindless house track, but rather an evocative, emotionally-charged club cut.
With ‘3ala Baly’, Chiati and Emara refine a formula they’ve been developing for years, one where movement and reflection coexist without canceling each other out.
