For the better part of two years, experimental Egyptian label, Sound of Noize, has played the part of treasure hunter on Egypt's music scene, with a steady schedule of releases finding creativity and music in its deepest corners. It's latest release is another shot from the dark, this time coming via Cairo-based producer, Limited Frequencies.
'Uncanny' is a brief but galloping piece of music that fuses a kind-of an industrial-coated ambience with tumbling, skittish drive built on a kind of shattered, barely present beat pattern. It's a tense-and-tinny ride, one that also opened us up onto Limited Frequencies' library of ambient productions on SoundCloud, which follow suite in similar style, but show subtle but distinct tangents of experimentation in a type of music that can often wallow in its own sense of... well, ambience.

On the part of Sound of Noize, it's another release from the leftfield of Egypt's deep pool of bedroom talent, as it continues to seek the most unique, unheard sounds around.
