Berlin's Claus Casper & Maltitz Drop ‘Boefje Beach’ via Love Attack

Berlin-based DJs and producers Claus Casper and Maltitz join forces on ‘Boefje Beach’, a sun-drenched house groover released via Egyptian DJ Misty’s Love Attack imprint.

Despite never having met in person, the two bonded over a shared sonic sensibility. “We have very similar tastes in music, so it felt natural to create something together. Maltitz sent over a draft that I liked immediately. I reworked the drums and added a few synth parts, and he handled the mix and final touches.” Claus Casper tells SceneNoise.

Casper’s catalogue reads like a roll call of respected house institutions, with releases on Esploited, True Romance, Future Disco and Glasgow Underground. His productions draw from disco, French house, indie dance and italo influences. Maltitz, active in the electronic circuit since 2006, has carved out a steady presence in Berlin’s club culture, moving fluidly between balearic house, techno, italo-disco and electro. His versatility has made him a regular behind the decks at Renate, Sisyphos, Watergate and Oxi Club.

Built around warm piano stabs and buoyant, classic-house grooves, ‘Boefje Beach’ leans into feel-good territory without slipping into cliché. It’s breezy, chill, yet playful, equally at home soundtracking a golden-hour set or pushing a late-night dancefloor - an ode to the timeless feeling of opness and release that defined the genre.

‘Boefje Beach’ comes two months after Love Attack’s release ‘Don’t Stop’ - a club-ready cut of italo and hip-house by Turin-based producer Hey Cabrera!, further expanding the homegrown label’s footprint in the global dance circuit.
