Montreal-based Egyptian multi-instrumentalist Ash took to Instagram to announce his upcoming live concert at the Pyramids of Giza on October 18th.
‘’Five years after I got the chance to film ‘Mosaique’ there, I’m finally doing this for real with you all. This is honestly a dream come true,’’ Ash says. The independent artist has catapulted to global stardom with his distinctive music style, blending traditional instrumentals and electronics, drawing inspiration from his dual cultural backgrounds, and music icons like Julien Clerc and Egyptian diva Umm Kulthum.
Ash became widely recognized for his transcending live performances and music sessions, where he delivers a dynamic one-man show, simultaneously playing the electric guitar, saxophone, keyboard, drums and synthesisers – usually against the backdrop of stunning settings like Montreal’s Mount Royal, Akyaka in Turkey and Egypt’s White Desert.
Earlier this year, we caught up with Ash during his global album launch tour ‘Self-Discovery’ after his performance at Lac du Caire, where he shared the tracks that have most impacted the trajectory of his career, the story behind his stage name as well as the meaning of ‘Self-Discovery’.
Brought by Egypt’s events giant Nacelle, the show will mark Ash’s first time ever to perform at the Pyramids. Tickets will go on sale on Ash’s official website on September 11th at 5 PM, Cairo time.
