We didn’t know what Operetta meant because we’re not classy enough to be familiar with opera terms, so we Googled it. And it turns out it’s ‘a genre of light opera, light in terms of both music and subject matter’. So it’s chill opera basically. Anyway, there will be a performance of Franz Lehar’s “The Merry Widow” Operetta in Arabic for all you opera-lovers out there. We feel like a merry widow is kind of an oxymoron but also sounds kinds of interesting so put on your fancy shoes and enjoy a swanky night at the opera.
