Born to a musical family, Cairo-based DJ Youssef Yasser spent his younger years immersed in the piano/guitar stylings of his cousins, and was later thrust into the world of DJing by his uncle, who provided the soundtrack to Youssef Yasser’s younger years.
Rather than listening to dance music at a surface level, or as mere random beats, Yasser "views electronic music as a story", intimately narrated in real time by the bass, snares, and kicks. This set gathers together a cabal of musical acts that resonate with Yasser on a deep personal level, including Gene on Earth, Tom Ries, Oden & fatzo, Tymotica, James Andrew, and much much more.
