Syrian Singer Faia Younan Enters Guinness Book of World Records
Ain't no shame in crowdfunding.

Sweden-based Syrian singer, Faia Younan, has entered the Guinness Book of World Records, as the first Middle Eastern artist to finance a music video through a crowdfunding campaign.
Originally hailing from Aleppo, Younan has lived most of her life in Sweden, garnering her influences from Western Music and fusing them with music from her homeland. Having started her career as ‘YouTube artist', for lack of a better phrase, Younan’s name skyrocketed with the release of her hit song 'Ohebbou Yadayka', which she eventually produced a music video for some three years later through crowdfunding site zoomaal.com.
