Bonobo is one of the pioneers that was able to find a perfect middle ground between organic instruments and technology. This artist has produced six albums and is known to perform live sets alongside full bands and even orchestras. The mind behind Bonobo is not an endangered ape, as the definition of the alias suggests, but Simon Green, musician/producer/DJ extraordinaire. The signature sound that Bonobo is known for ranges from a variety of influences such as world music, classical and jazz. Every song is different, though he maintains this identifiable human element, putting a huge emphasis on composition and blending different instruments together.
This February 23rd, Dubai's leading one day arts and music festival Groove on the Grass is bringing the double Grammy-nominated artist along with his eight member band to the Emirates Golf Club. This will be the promoter's first party this year, who claim that their “aim has always been to create special moments of joy and unity while enriching the music and creative arts culture in the UAE, and the Middle-East.” Their aim is true, as the outdoor festival is considered to be a pillar of the creative scene in the UAE

Apart from Bonobo, the supporting line-up is phenomenal, featuring British duo Simian Mobile Disco, DJ and Producer George Fitzgerald, electronic producer Barnt and seven Dubai-based artists. Now in its sixth year, Dubai's leading Groove on the Grass will be unfolding more consciously curated acts throughout the season, asserting its mastery over the electronic scene in Dubai.
