With many artists around the globe switching to online performances in light of the global Corona crisis, Ultraviolet DXB, a collective of Dubai-based creative industry leaders, are getting on-board with a full-fledged online festival, Ultraviolet DXB: Weekender. Dubbed a ‘music and lifestyle online festival’, the two-day virtual event will take place on video streaming platform, Twitch, and will host a selection of Dubai-based DJs and a few international names as well, including versatile NYC-based DJ, The Duchess, Melbourne-based Sudanese sister DJ duo, The Mai Sisters, and London's Jamz Supernova. The festival will also see the sets of Dubai-based acts DJ James Locksmith and DJ Parvane, with more names still to be announced.
Away from music, the festival will also include talks on wellness and cooking by various experts.
Ultraviolet DXB: Weekender will start on Thursday April 23rd at 12PM (Dubai time) and will continue till 11.30PM on April 24th. Visit the Facebook event page for more details on the line-up and instructions on how to stream the festival.
