UAE’s Music Nation Licensed to Represent Music Rights Nationwide
Music Nation gets the green light from Ministry of Economy to protect music rights across the UAE, in partnership with BMI.

Music Nation has been officially licensed by the UAE's Ministry of Economy to operate as a collective management organisation (CMO), a landmark moment for the country’s music industry. For the first time, artists and rights holders in the UAE will be fairly compensated for the use of their work across public performances, digital platforms, and reproduction rights.
Granted in collaboration with global leaders BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) and SoundExchange, the license introduces internationally recognised standards for rights management and royalty collection. This move sets the foundation for a more transparent and sustainable music economy in the region.
Under the leadership of Chairwoman Rasha Khalifa Al Mubarak, Music Nation’s establishment as an official rights body signals a major advancement for songwriters, producers, performers, and publishers alike.
