SceneNoise to Host Talk on Evolution of MENA Nightlife at IMS Dubai

Nightlife in the MENA region has always been a space of experimentation, community and creative risk. From clandestine early gatherings and abandoned warehouses to festivals drawing thousands, the region’s nightlife scene has grown in scale, sophistication and influence. But with growth comes the question: How do we hold on to the radical inclusivity of the early rave scene while navigating commercial pressures? And, how do integrity, community, and financial viability coexist in a region of diverse regulations and social norms? And as etiquette, status and space design continue to evolve - from VIP areas and backstage access to door policies and dancefloor rules - what does a safe and open nightlife look like today?

At this year's Beatport Presents International Music Summit Dubai, SceneNoise is hosting a special panel discussion that tackles these questions head-on. Moderated by Timmy Mowafi (Founder, SceneNoise), the panel will bring together four of the region’s most influential nightlife figures: Ahmed Ganzoury (CEO & Founder, GNK Group], Wassim Bou Malham (Co-founder, Factory People), Baloo (CCO, MDLBEAST), and Megatronic (Founder of Femme Fest).

The discussion will trace the evolution of the region’s nightlife and dance music scene, and examine the challenges organisers face in access, inclusion, and regulation. Attendees will get a rare opportunity to hear directly from those navigating that landscape, sharing lessons learned, stories from the floor, and insights into what it takes to build lasting, meaningful nightlife in MENA.

The panel will be taking place on the first day of IMS Dubai, November 13th, at 12.20PM in the Music & Culture Room.

The summit will be running from November 13th to November 14th at 24hours Hotel Dubai One Central, and you can get your tickets to attend through IMS Dubai’s official website.
