Moroccan-based independent record label Astrofever recently dropped VA ‘Music for Relief’, a fundraiser for the victims of the catastrophic earthquake which impacted Morocco.

On September 8th, 2023, Morocco experienced a magnitude 7 earthquake, which caused over 5,000 injuries and the loss of nearly 3,000 lives. According to the World Health Organization (WHO),  the earthquake has also caused complete and partial collapse of 50,000 houses, impacting more than 3,000 people.

Founded by producer and selector Mouchine Zouitina, aka Polyswitch, the Casablanca-based record label has brought together nine Moroccan artists to contribute their talents to create ‘Music for Relief’, a collection of house, ambient and electronica aiming to bring solace and hope to the victims of the earthquake.

Mastered by Dubplates & Mastering, the compilation features Saib, Raskas, Kosh, Cee ElAssaad, Guedra Guedra, Polyswitch, and Abdellah M. Hassak, among many others. ‘Music for Relief’ is exclusively available to purchase on Bandcamp with all proceeds donated to earthquake relief NGOs including Association Tamounte Ouirgane, Insaf, and trusted funds dedicated to providing shelter, medical assistance, and essential supplies to the affected communities.
