Exist Festival Announces The Pyramids as Part of '26 World Tour

After closing what could be its final chapter in Serbia for the foreseeable future this past July, EXIT - one of Europe’s largest and most socially conscious music festivals - has officially announced Egypt as one of its 2026 world tour stops. The world-renowned festival will be landing at the Great Pyramids of Giza in October 2026, marking its debut in the MENA region.

Founded in 2000 by student activists who emerged from the protest movement that helped topple Serbian dictator Slobodan Milošević, EXIT began as an act of rebellion and unity. Over the years, it evolved into a global powerhouse known for its massive productions, star-studded lineups, and message of freedom and social change.

Hosted annually at the Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, Serbia, the festival became a pilgrimage site for music lovers worldwide. Its 2025 edition reportedly drew over 210,000 attendees from more than 80 countries, billing a roster of global icons like The Prodigy, Sex Pistols, DJ Snake, and Nina Kraviz, just to name a few.

Now, EXIT is entering a new era. Under the banner of ‘The First Chapter’, the festival is going on a world tour that will take its ethos and unmistakable energy to stages across the globe, from the sun-drenched coasts of Malta and Croatia to the vibrant heart of India, before landing at the historic Giza Plateau.

“After 25 years at the Petrovaradin Fortress, EXIT is now spreading its wings to the world,” said Dušan Kovačević, founder and CEO of EXIT Festival. “We aim to unite continents through our festivals and carry the spirit of freedom wherever we go. For us, music has always been more than entertainment; it’s a force that brings people together and builds bridges between nations and cultures.” The announcement was made during EXIT’s annual party at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) this week, held at the iconic Crane Faralda Hotel.

The EXIT Pyramids edition will be produced in collaboration with one of Egypt's event giants, Venture Lifestyle.
