Cairo-based party series JellyZone is back on December 23rd with a new edition of ‘$DxRD’, an indoor party bringing a range of local artists to the forefront, as per JellyZone tradition. Founded by DJ and promoter Donia Shohdy, the party series went from a collective and mobile space for niche and experimental genres to one of Cairenes’ favourite non-commercial events.

With its dynamic lineups and locations, JellyZone quickly became a stepping stone towards establishing many artists within the electronic music scene.

“Indoor parties, like all parties, are a risk, yet there’s more room for introducing fresh voices and taking bigger risks in terms of the lineup,” Shohdy tells SceneNoise.

Shohdy was keen on bringing on Kuwait-based Van Boom in the upcoming edition, along with DJs Solafan, Nourelq, Jana, and producer Yucifer. The lineup will also feature Shohdy herself, aka A7ba El Jelly, and Young Nada bringing the beats to life with her playful visuals.

‘$DxRD’ will kick off Cairo’s Christmas parties this Friday from 6 PM to 2 PM. Message @jellyzonecairo on Instagram for tickets.
