Berlin-based event series Takseer came to life earlier this year in an attempt to support and offer a platform for emerging artists in diasporas, creating a cross-cultural exchange through club nights and giving a chance for attendees to explore eclectic electronic music with various cultural sonic identities and a special focus on Arabic jam.
Following a successful launch back in April followed by a couple more during the summer, Takseer are throwing their first two-day festival with a group of DJs, producers, and live acts that has supported the cause from the start on September 16th and September 17th.
The festival will host 18 artists from diverse backgrounds and sonic directions such as Tunisian DJ/producer Azu Tiwaline, London-based Chillean DJ and producer DJ Raff, Tunisian singer and author Koast, Moroccan DJ/producer Guedra Guedra, Lebanese audiovisual maestro Liliane Chlela, Palestinian drummer and producer Big Murk, Tunisian selectress Marwa Belhaj Youssef, Syrian musician Wael Alkak, London-based Palestinian artist Bint7alal, Egyptian-Australian DJ/producer Moktar, Palestinian writer and DJ Zuhour, beatmaker and bootlegger Abu Mhd, Palestinian-Egyptian producer and DJ Oldyungmayn, Amsterdam-based DJ/producer Noise Diva, Berlin based producer and selector Qasio, Takseer founders Paulawar b2b Taradud, electronic duo Jesssika & Jamal Khazrik, brilliant selectress Ojoo Gyal.
