Baghdad is set to host a major hip-hop event on November 15th, highlighting the expanding influence of the hip-hop genre and culture among Iraqi youth. Organised by Mesopotamia Nights, the event will bring together six prominent rap artists, namely Khalifa OG, KLAWCHIE 3ARABI, Som3av, Vife and Orybi.
Each performer will present an extended set, allowing them to display their distinct styles and contributions to the scene. From hard-hitting bars to melodic storytelling, each artist brings a different flavour of hip-hop, making this event a feast for hip-hop heads in Iraq.
This event aims to engage with an audience that connects with the evolving music culture, positioning hip-hop as a medium of artistic expression that resonates with young people in Baghdad. As the Iraqi rap scene is still in its early stages compared to other parts of the Arab world, this event is positioned as a key moment to showcase the talent that is putting Baghdad on the regional hip-hop map.
