Following appearances on works alongside rising Chicago-based Egyptian producer, Madeena, fellow Sudanese rapper AKA Keyz, and as part of collective The C!rcle, Nadine has finally released her first solo single of the year ‘Gr8ful’, produced by collaborator ActiveByNight.
Set to ActiveByNight’s jazzy, slow-jam instrumental, ’Gr8ful’ is absolutely dripping with positive affirmations, conveying an uplifting message that aims to break beyond the overwhelming negativity of 2020, and manifest a brighter 2021 by speaking it into existence. At just under two and a half minutes in length, ‘Gr8ful’ is definitely a short tune, but brings with it an infectious quality that leads to instinctual mashing of the replay button. While we wish the song was longer, this seems like the first wave of much more to come from the young artist.
