Brussels-based Egyptian techno producer Hayek has recently emerged as one of the young producers pushing a new wave of homegrown hard techno, choosing to deliberately stay away from the overwhelming prevalence of deep house and romanian minimal in the Egyptian club scene.

Today on SceneNoise we have the pleasure of premiering ‘Wrong From Right’ off Hayek’s second 4-track EP Superior Force, which follows up his debut Commencement that dropped on Red Sea Records earlier this year.

At just shy of 8 minutes in length, ‘Wrong From Right’ takes it’s time building up layers of massive, rolling kick drums and metallic 90s-inspired percussion, which keep energy levels high until the distorted synthesizer lead finally hits with a tangible sensation of dancefloor catharsis.

From the get-go, Hayek makes it clear that Superior Force is going to be fast… really fast. Never going below 140bpm, Hayek keeps the pace near breakneck throughout the project, reaching a peak on ‘Wrong From  Right’ at a blistering 157bpm.
