Kafr El-Dauwar Rapper Super Maro Releases New Track ‘Egry’
A simple but ominous trap-inspired beat behind lyrics that paint a picture of a caged beast on the verge.

Having first landed on radars at the end of 2019 on Kafr El-Dauwar Rap Mixtape Vol 1, up-and-coming rapper and native of the eponymous industrial Egyptian town, Super Maro, has released his latest track, ‘Egry’.
Maintaining
a similar trap-inspired style to 2019’s ‘The Big Deal’, ‘Egry’ (or ‘run’)
carries anxious, ominous synths that provide a fitting backing for lyrics that
paint a picture of a caged beast on the verge.

Although he's still finding his way in this fickle game called music, Super
Maro is considered one of the most promising young artists to come out of Kafr
El-Dauwar, joining a wave of out-of-the-box music coming out of the area that is
being led by collective and record label, Kafr El-Dauwar Records. Check out our
documentary about the crew here.
