Despite its name, there’s very little LOL-ing triggers to be found in ‘Ha-Ha’ by Batistuta and Dizzy. This isn’t the first time that the two have teamed up in recent times. In December 2019, Dizzy featured on Batistuta’s ‘Ekhwati El Zazrbewat', which was produced By Rashed Muzik – also the producer of ‘Haha’. In January, Batistuta was back in the producer’s chair for Dizzy’s well-received ‘Madnlean’.

For ‘Ha-Ha’, they turn up the nihilism and anarchism that has become synonymous with trap a few notches. It’s an unabashed celebration of excess, a boastful parade in honour of rap’s rags-to-riches, dog-eat-dog folklore.

Released on Egyptian label, IntoMyMind, the track’s video is set in some kind of basement man cave. Directed and shot by Mostafa El Demerdash (who also shot and directed the video for ‘Mortadella’ by Wegz, featuring Mwes), the video is a one-shot take, which is impressive when you focus on all the moving parts.

For young Dizzy, the collaboration is another notch on his growing belt, while it also continues Batistuta’s self-propelled rise in 2020. While the Alexandria native emerged on the scene as a producer, working with the likes of Wegz and Afroto, he has been stepping out of the shadows and standing on his own more and more as a rapper. At the backend of June, he invited fans to get to know him a little more with self-released short documentary, The Magician.
