Harking back to Wu Tang Clan at their peak, Egyptian producer, Rageh, has released a new track that cements his position as one of the most unique beatmakers in Cairo.
Clocking in at a slim and trim 1.04 minutes, ‘Outro’ is the second single from Cairo-based label SLOVVDK’s upcoming MIXTAPE II, following Fayrouz Karawya's reworking of Serge Lama's 1973 song, 'Je Suis Malade', which was famously covered by Dalida.
‘Outro’ comes hot on the heels of Rageh’s Champs Ghetto, a six-track EP which sees him take influence from hardcore hip-hop of 1990s New York – a sound pioneered by the likes of Run-DMC and Public Enemy, mastered by the aforementioned Wu Tang Clan, and paved the for giants such as Notorious BIG and Jay Z.
