Our latest Shuffle playlist spotlights the region’s latest standout new releases across a spectrum of genres, ranging from pop and electronic to alternative, rap and R&B, featuring fresh cuts from Rasha Nahas, Shkoon, and Zaid Khaled.

Bahraini DJ and producer Zone+ comes through with deep house groover ‘Afterglow’, from his new EP Brooklyn via Saudi Gabu Records. Tamer Nafar, Rasha Nahas and Nasir AlBashir collaborate on a powerful resistance anthem, ‘Rock it Like a Palestinian’, while Cairokee guitarist Hawary has launched his solo career with ‘Dehketly’, and Lebanese artist Yal Solan delivers an introspective pop single, ‘Ya Enay Kafak Alam’.

Syrian-German duo Shkoon delves into existentialism on ‘Tired Way’, inspired by the poetry of Syrian writer Hussein Hamza, and Jordanian alt-pop star Zaid Khaled links up once again with Ahmed Diaa on ‘Asmar’, a single from his forthcoming album. One of the other standout collaborations is LAI and Lilian Chlela’s experimental drum n’ bass single, ‘Mesh S7ab’, that maps the grey area of an almost, not-quite relationship.
