In the latest instalment of Rap of the Week, we highlight some of the region’s top rap and hip-hop releases over the past week, this time featuring picks from Shbash, The Synaptik and Hala Sherif.
Moroccan rapper Tchubi comes through with ‘KSSIRI’, a punchy trap cut in collaboration with ONZY, released as part of his new album, A Man With a Gun. Meanwhile, Palestinian artist Shamaly returns with ‘Too Reall’, and Lebanese artist Billy Tstrk releases an abrasive, grungy rap tune ‘Ma Tensine’.
Palestinian-Jordanian rapper Shbash presents an industrial-tinged, ominous trap track ‘System’, while Egyptian rapper Hala Sherif links up with Moroccan-Egyptian producer Ouella on a drum n’ bass/rap effort, ‘ENTA’
