In this edition of our weekly ‘Rap of the Week’ playlist, we highlight some of the best new hip-hop releases from across the region over the past seven days, keeping an eye on both the underground scene and the upper echelons of the industry. This list spans various rap sub-genres, from trap purists to old-school tunes and everything in between, featuring new music by Tagne, Moscow and PAUSE.
On the playlist, the North African scene dominates most of the entries, with new tracks such as Tagne’s latest release ‘Vendetta’, PAUSE’s ‘112’ and EMP1RE’s ‘Bla Bla Bla’.
Also on the list is the latest project from Egyptian rapper-producer duo Badran and Sintax with their song ‘Tara’ from the EP ‘Harrara’, which showcases Badran’s full technical prowess over Sintax’s intricate and hard-hitting production.
Additionally, the playlist includes new tracks such as All-Mooney’s ‘Market’, Seif Mrdeny’s ‘Kan Lazm Afook’ and One Zizo’s ‘Sawahel El Gezeira’.
