In our first Rap of the Week playlist of the year, we feature some of the best hip-hop releases from across the MENA region. The start of 2025 witnessed numerous releases from major players in the scene, including new music by Lege-Cy, Stormy and Walgz.

On the playlist, we have the latest track from Egyptian rapper and singer Lege-Cy, created for the movie ‘Seeking Haven for Mr. Rambo’. Lege-Cy delivers an emotional and intimate performance that effectively captures the themes of the film, in which a man sets out to rescue his dog.

Also featured on the playlist is a collaboration between two of the best MCs in the Levant, El Rass and Haykal, on the track ‘Festo2’. Released as part of El Rass’ new LP ‘October 6’, this track features a back-and-forth performance that showcases the duo’s undeniable chemistry and lyrical prowess.

The playlist also includes new music from Moroccan rapper Stormy with ‘Pirate’, El Sabe3 with ‘Ddom Ddom’, and BLTNM’s Daboor & Fawzi on ‘Tabban’.
