We've barely scratched the surface of 2026, yet the region’s rap scene has wasted no time in making its mark, with new releases, bold experiments, sharp comebacks, and a new wave of rising talent setting the tone. In the latest instalment of our Rap of the Week playlist, we zero in on the standout cuts, spotlighting everything from established heavyweights to boundary-pushing collaborations.

Moroccan rap mainstay ISSAM returns with ‘Diss, Ye’, signalling the lead-up to his first full-length album in nearly five years, while Sudanese rapper Hleem Taj Alser delivers ‘Ego’ from his recent album Mission Impossible. Palestinian label BLTNM’s Carlo, Fawzi and Touch link up on the sleek, forward-leaning ‘Ya Malaki’, and Rknddn, Shbash and Big Murk join forces on ‘Absar Leish’ - a collaboration that captures the current pulse of the Palestinian-Jordanian rap scene.

From Egypt, Wingii experiments with reggaeton in on ‘Nogoum El Madina’ from his new album El Nas, while Abyusif continues his introspective streak with ‘Ana’, and Moroccan rap heavyweight ElGrandeToto teams up with Najm on the moody ‘Insomnia Hotel’.
