Rap of the Week | Dec 2 - Dec 8
This week's playlist features standout collaborations like Fawzi and Touch, Dafencii and Yad Oud, and Ziad Zaza and Young Giza.
Over the past week, the region’s rap scene has been buzzing with new releases and standout collaborations. Fresh tracks emerged from BLTNM’s circle, including Fawzi and Touch, alongside Dafencii and Yad Oud, and the Young Giza teaming up with Ziad Zaza.
Sudanese rapper Hyper links with Cymona on the politically-charged ‘Na8is’, while Egyptian duo Lil Baba and Abyusif deliver a dark, introspective drill anthem with ‘Kol Da’. Saudi rapper Dafencii enlists Bahraini musician Yad Oud for the hypnotic ‘Bama’, and Mousv keeps up his streak of pre-album singles with the reflective ‘Ebn Elbalad’.
North Africa also sees notable moves: Tunisian star Koast returns with the sharp ‘Mikasa’, and Valeriblud drops a volume two of his track ‘Cagoulé’, cementing his distinctive sound.
