In this edition of our weekly rap roundup, Rap of the Week, the SceneNoise team goes above and beyond, scanning through various releases from across the region to highlight the freshest hip-hop tracks. This time, we feature new music from Ahmed Santa, Bo9al and Tageel.

Ahmed Santa continues his prolific run of releases with his latest track, ‘Pamberan’, a pure old-school track produced by his longtime collaborator Hussein Yasser. The track features traditional boom-bap production infused with contemporary hip-hop sonic textures, over which Santa relentlessly spits his bars, taking shots at everyone and reaffirming the importance of lyrically-focused hip-hop.

We also see a new release from Moroccan rapper Bo9al titled ‘Gharam’, marking a significant change of pace for the artist, who recently dropped his album ‘Dracula’, a project steeped in ominous and dark themes. Here, however, Bo9al leans into traditional Eastern instrumentation and melodic vocals, exploring themes of longing and love.

Additionally, on the playlist, we have a new release from former M-Town member FLEX with ‘Valentine (Diss Track)’, in which he aggressively takes shots at his former labelmates with unfiltered intensity.
