London-based Lebanese rapper Professor Z, an up-and-coming voice in the conscious hip-hop scene, has released his latest single and music video, 'La7ale', featuring British artist Velysia.

The track, which means 'Alone' in Arabic, delves into the theme of diasporic solitude. Reflecting on his experiences since moving to London from Lebanon in 2017, Professor Z blends raw introspective lyrics with a mix of Arabic and English. His bilingual bars explore feelings of displacement and longing, underscored by a blend of Arabic jazz and UK hip-hop.

Velysia's contribution comes in the form of a sweetly sung chorus that contrasts the emotional weight of Professor Z's verses, adding a melodic shift to the track. Drawing from her experiences in the modeling industry, Velysia connects with the song's themes of feeling unseen and unheard.

The accompanying cinematic music video, directed by Zoe Fayaud, adds another layer to the story. The visuals feature urban landscapes and tell the story of two lost souls reconnecting through music, echoing the personal journeys of both artists.
