Experimental French artist VAMPI has released a new single, ‘Myst’, featuring Egyptian producer and vocalist Nadah El Shazly. The release is part of VAMPI’s single series, ‘(zero)’, which also includes ‘citadel’ featuring Yayoyanoh.
An ethereal and unfamiliar soundscape, ‘Myst’ teeters between order and collapse. El Shazly’s powerful vocals come through with a poetic lyric, conveying themes of exhaustion and renewal.
Since the release of her debut album ‘Ahwar’ in 2017, El Shazly has become a pillar of the Egyptian underground. El Shazaly recently performed ‘Bānit’, a track for which VAMPI did the vocal production, as part of her COLORS show.
