Egyptian DJ and producer Hassan Abou Alam is synonymous to the far-left end of the musical spectrum, whose grandiose noise speaks multitudes for his repertoire. Known for copious releases of thumping dance bangers that arguably re-defined conceptual boundaries within the region, the renowned producer has just released a new track, ‘Ice’, from his forthcoming EP.

The ice-cold release is a heart-throbbing industrial track infiltrated with hard-hitting drums, synths simulating metallic textures and harsh subdued percussion. The beautiful sound of a monstrous 808 kick drum predominates the track, invoking the listener's inner hard-dance spirit. Watery sonic textures are also audibly apparent during the breakdown, giving off just the right sliver of ear-candy.

The EP is coming out on September 23rd, while Ice is now accessible across Youtube and Soundcloud.
