New York-based Egyptian rapper-turned-singer Felukah teams up with Egyptian multi-instrumentalist Ash on a joint single ‘On My Mind’.
The duo initially made it in 2023, shortly after their first meeting, and later premiered it at Ash’s debut live concert at the Pyramids of Giza on October 18th, 2024.
The track is carried by a Middle Eastern-tinged deep house beat that is both soulful and dance-ready at best. Ash’s signature transportive fusion of traditional instrumentals and electronics flows dreamily with Felukah’s pop sensibilities and laid-back delivery of poignant lyrics in both Arabic and English.
