UK-based Bklava looks to her Lebanese heritage to set the groove in her newest single ‘Only for Tonight’, an irresistible percussive heater that immediately infects listeners with a hip-swaying rhythm and lyrics that embrace single life and its liberation.
The single, which she worked on with British producer TCTS, carries a flurry of melodies which hit as sweetly as a sugar rush and comes as the second bite ahead of her upcoming EP Autonomy, set for release on July 30th, after ‘Close to You’ served as the summery starter in May.Embellished in Middle Eastern melodic inspiration, ‘Only for Tonight’ lavishly channels the essence of a belly dancing boogie. “Growing up and going to family parties, everyone would belly dance and move their hips regardless of gender,” recalls Bklava.
Having soaked the track with a glittering buoyancy, Bklava can be confident that hips will shake aplenty upon being hit by its bouncing bassline.
