AKA Keyz Talks Life Goals, Family and Fears in ‘Highs & Lows’

Touching on his biggest fears when it comes to his family, AKA Keyz’s ‘Highs & Lows’ provides a very personal window into his life. While fears are a central theme, it’s also a track that pays tribute to his family;  his grandma’s presence in his life, his father’s strength and his mother’s dedication to the family. 

Taken from the self-proclaimed third-culture kid’s latest album, ROOTS, it all plays out to the backdrop of a simple but impossibly smooth production by Noci, who provides a fitting R&B beat for the rapper’s vocals.“This song is very deep to me,” he writes about the track. “I open up about my biggest fears - watching family grow older is scary AF and my biggest fear is losing people close to me before I reach my goals and provide the most comfortable life possible for them.”
