Emerging from the industrial city of Kafr Al Dauwar, music producer Shah stands out as one of the most experimental electronic artists in Egypt's underground music scene. Shah’s music adapts a genre-bending approach that draws from Bedouin traditions, Eastern culture and techno influences, blending various musical elements and experimenting with sonic structures across his projects.
Despite beginning his professional music career in 2019, Shah has already established himself as a prolific producer, releasing 4 full-length LPs alongside numerous singles and EPs. In an exclusive interview with SceneNoise, Shah discusses his latest album, ‘Rehlet Al Gammal’, where he explores the diverse sounds of Egyptian cities. Collaborating with local artists and vocalists, Shah captures the essence of each city through his music. He elaborates on the album's creative process, explores its main concepts, shares insights into his favourite collaborations, and describes the unique visual identity he developed with artist Ehab Ehab.
