So here we are. After one of the biggest DJ competitions in the Middle East, the Student DJ Program comes to a close we are left with two, or should we say four, of the brightest deck dazzlers in Egypt going head-to-head in the beautiful Bianchi Sidi Abdel Rahman. Dance music maestros The Gawdat Brothers will face Aguizi & Fahim for the title of Student DJ winner and overall lord of the decks but it will by no means be the last we see of them as you can expect them to be providing the score to your Cairo nightlife for years to come.

Headlining the night will be the bordering-on-mythical Claptone from Berlin. Here's an extract from his bio - "In a now long forgotten world, many generations ago, a bird like shape emerged from wooded dark- ness, floating and fluttering, drifting and dreaming. Backlit by a bright glow of iridescent light, the undecipherable form wore a dazzling golden mask. Its long beak swooped down like an inverted horn and since then, people have referred to the mythical being simply as Claptone."

Joining Claptone on the day will be OFF records' Andre Crom from Berlin who's sets move fluidly from sleazy deep underground pop tunes to jacking house to reduced groovers. 

Deep and Tech house DJ and ByGanz resident Abu Samra and Electrum founder Fahmy will join in on the decks throughout the night.

If you've enjoyed partying it up at any of the Student DJ parties you owe it to yourself to make it to the final for one hell of a climax this Eid.
