Select 073: Ameed (Live @ Ambush Opening Party, Amman)

For our 73rd Select we have another key Jordanian artist - Ameed Mughrabi, the man behind Amman’s 4NX and Ambush party brands and one of the main figures behind Chill O’posite Music Festival. This Select mix for us sees him take an entirely different approach to what we've heard from him before, shedding his melodic deep house sound and pursuing a more groove-oriented aesthetic.

The set, which was recorded live at the inaugural edition of his of his newest party - Ambush, features the likes of Sascha Dive, Lawrence and Adisyn and mainly combines elements of minimal and lo-fi, yet remnants of his melodic roots can be heard sparingly throughout. Overall, Ameed’s vibe seems to be undergoing a major development and in the right direction.
