In our Select series our aim is to target a mature electronic music audience with an eclectic dance sound from the top DJs and producers around the region. We like raw club music that challenges the listener. For this special occasion (Select's over the hill birthday) we couldn’t think of someone better than Lebanon’s renowned techno figure Jad Taleb to record the 50th mix for our podcast. Taleb’s Boiler Room Beirut set was fire and so is his set. It starts out with a deep house track that contains sampling that is creative enough to capture your attention and prepare you for what’s to follow. The set goes smoothly from one style to another, offering a comprehensive listening experience from house to techno that both preserve the grittiness and sonic hypnosis needed to smash a warehouse, just like he did in Beirut. Expect more exclusive sets from trendsetters around the region.
