Select 401: Mixed by Samïr
The Egyptian producer brings us a deep dub mix, imbued with Middle Eastern percussion and cuts from James Harbrecht and more.

Egyptian sound designer and producer Samïr joins us this week on Select with an unconventional mix that draws on the acoustic traditions of his homeland, from the metallic shimmer of the sagat to the intricate polyrhythms of Middle Eastern percussion, filtered through his years immersed in Barcelona’s underground electronic scene.
Moving between deep dub, hypnotic soundscapes and driving club energy, the set is an immersive exploration of locked-groove, held together by a steady pulse and weaving in cuts from James Harbrecht, Danny Wabbit and Adiel.
