In the latest edition of our Select series, we have Hmehdi, a Tunisian selector, label manager and resident at the XPAM label, event and podcast series. When he’s not wearing the DJ hat, Hmehdi is a filmmaker, whose emotional approach and storytelling galvanises much of the music he makes.
Inspired by the spirit of 90s clubbing, Hmehdi’s select set experiments with various obscure sounds and trance music in all its forms and peppered with melancholic undertones, powerful kicks and fast-paced rhythms.
