What started out as a series of alternative house parties that served free liquor-infused jello by DJ and promoter Donia Shohdy aka a7ba L-Jelly in her apartment, soon turned into an organized club night in 2017 and Cairo’s clubbing landscape was never quite the same ever since. Now two years into the JellyZone party series, they’ve managed to host nearly every boundary-pushing artist in Egypt across a variety of soundscapes even hosting the likes of rapper Marwan Pablo at an early point in his career.
This year saw JellyZone kick things off on New Year’s Eve with a massive lineup featuring Zuli and $$$TAG$$$, as well as host their first party abroad at Berlin’s Acid Macht Neu featuring Belgradian artists Bucalo and UBICA. Now all geared up and ready to throw their final party of 2019, we’ve teamed with JellyZone to bring ‘Fajr El Odessa’ -their newest event on November 30th boasting a lineup of shaabi rabble rouser El Kontessa, left-field and noise honcho a7ba L-Jelly, hip hop DJ Tutu and last but not least Nadah ElShazly who’ll be making he DJ debut as DJ ElMar7uma with a rock set.
Location: Unicorn Garden Warehouse. Entry before 10:30 PM will be 150 EGP and 200 EGP for the rest of the night until doors close at full capacity.
