Renowned the world over as both an artist and a symbol of the Palestinianian resistance through art, DJ and producer, Sama, is set to return to Cairo for a huge night on December 17th at Cairo venue, Tempo

The night in question comes courtesy of Kulture, a new name on the party scene in Cairo that debuted its first event, Nulento, in October, with a line-up featuring Belgian live electronic act, Stavroz, headlining a line-up that will also feature Dutch producer and film scorer, Eelke Kleijn, and Cairo’s own Safi.

It was an incredible first outing for Kulture, but they’ve somehow managed to top the night with a night that has been baptised as ‘KLTR Shock’, a new series exploring the deepest corners of techno music, with the first edition also featuring local DJs, Mohasseb and Mike Pham.

The last time we saw Sama in Cairo was March 2020, when she performed at The Tap West as part of the launch for  ‘Electrosteen’, a compilation album from some of the best up-and-coming Palestinian talent that blends Palestinian folk and modern electronic music. This time round, she’s here for a night of techno, techno and nothing but techno, the weapon of choice that has brought her acclaim the world over.

In addition, 10% of the gig’s proceeds will be donated to Palestinian charities and NGOs fighting the good fight.
