For music fanatics from Egypt and the region alike, Sandbox is more than just a festival. It’s an event that has been creating life-changing moments, relationships, and memories every year since 2012 – despite a COVID hiccup.
The festival experienced a two-year hiatus following logistical complications as a result of the worldwide pandemic. Rather than let Sandbox die, event organizers Nacelle used this period to both optimize Sandbox’s potential and success, and create a subsidiary concept. Thus, SBX was born – a miniature festival with two venues in the same location, featuring different line-ups for each stage.
Though SBX was a huge success and certainly kept the Sandbox and Nacelle name alive, the group are now ready to bring Sandbox back bigger and better than ever.
“We’ve curated a line-up of over 40 international and local DJs,” a member of Nacelle’s team shared exclusively with SceneNoise today.
This edition of Sandbox is certainly shaping up to be its best yet – and early-bird tickets are already on sale starting tomorrow, Wednesday February 16th through the Sandbox Instagram account.
