Palestine’s first-ever Songwriting Camp is taking place in Ramallah between April 27th - 30th. Organised by the Palestine Music Expo (PMX), the course offers local emerging talent the chance to work alongside globally-acclaimed producers in crafting song demos, which will be pitched to prominent artists worldwide, with the prospect of the demos being performed or recorded by big names in the industry.
The course is another step taken by PMX towards building a thriving music industry in Palestine, providing economic and employment opportunities for young people and musicians in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. The organisation's flagship event, the Palestine Music Expo, has seen huge success since its launch in 2017, bringing together Palestinian artists and international industry professionals to open up valuable networking opportunities and build a community.
Accommodation and meals will be covered by the organisers, but participants must travel independently. Participants need to speak fluent English and be able to attend three full days in Ramallah.
