Four-time Grammy award winning rapper Macklemore and chart-topping behemoths Imagine Dragons have been announced as two of the headliners for Gamers8, the world’s largest gaming and esports festival taking place in Saudi Arabia this July.
Known for its lineup of massive musical concerts featuring both international and regional artists, the 2022 edition of Gamers8 has seen the likes of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, The Black Eyed Peas, Russ and Marshmello to name a few.
Macklemore is set to perform on Friday July 14th at the Mohammed Abdu Arena at Boulevard Riyadh City, marking his debut performance in the Kingdom. As the warriors who built this town, Imagine Dragons will be making a Saudi comeback on Friday July 28th in the same arena.
Other performances confirmed include Saudi singer Rabeh Saqer who will be taking the stage on Friday July 7th as part of the opening of the festival.
Organized by the Saudi Esports Federation, Gamers8 will take place over eight weeks starting July 6th, and will include esports tournaments, gaming panels, festival activities, and the Next World Forum conference. These are just the first lineup names announced by Gamers8, and with concerts taking place every weekend from July to September, there will certainly be more to announce in the coming weeks.
