Although he’s been based in Oakland, California for the last few years, Egyptian producer and general musical wizard, Cartoon Therapy, left a mark on his homeland long ago.
Many like to point to milestones like being the youngest ever musician to perform on the stage of VENT, but it's his unique brand of bass-heavy, musical opulence that has made him one of the best to come out of Cairo in years.
His latest work comes in the form of new track, In Your Eyes, released on boundary-pushing Cairo-based label, SLOVVDK. Stripped-back but rich, clinical but spattered with what can only be described as casual funkiness, the track encapsulates CT’s eclectic style perfectly and comes in the run-up to an upcoming new mixtape.
