Slyver Brings a Combative Edge to His Latest EP ‘PV2.0'

There’s an unmistakable hostility driving Slyver’s new EP, ‘PV2.0’. After returning from hiatus earlier this year, the Egyptian rapper has been redefining the scope of his sound, and on this EP, he takes that ethos into more aggressive territory, delivering unrelenting flows across four dense, confrontational tracks.

'Puff puff' sets a cold, calculated baseline both sonically and visually. Produced by $AMUEL ETTO around a catchy, inverted sample motif, the track finds Slyver delivering measured taunts with low-key composure. This comes in contrast to the low-angle, stark slice-of-life imagery in the music video directed by Muhammed Sherif, which positions the rapper atop highway cars and rooftops against Cairo's skyline while mocking his rivals' posturing.

That tension carries straight into ‘KAZA RANNA’, where the tempo quickens over a punchier beat. Slyver doubles down on his stance, running through rapid flows to make one point clear: he moves without hesitation and answers to no one.

On ‘Khott’, Hazem Medhat constructs a heavy, explosive backdrop around an ominous arpeggio and blown-out low end. Slyver matches the scale of the beat by dropping into a darker vocal register, shifting between an intimidating rasp and full-chested projection as he tears through opposing rappers.

By the time the EP reaches 'HAD KBEER AKALEMO’, the atmosphere opens up slightly without losing its grit. Over a spacious trap framework, Slyver flexes his technical range, bouncing across multiple flow patterns before handing off to Arsenik, whose guest verse injects a sharp, cadenced energy into the track, matching Slyver’s taunts with calculated flexes of status and success.

‘PV2.0’ doesn't bother with filler or emotional detours. It’s a lean, combative showcase of an artist fully confident in his technical ability, asserting his place in the scene through sheer sonic force.
