Rap of the Week | Dec 8-15

In this edition of our Rap of the Week playlist, where we highlight the best hip-hop releases from across the MENA region, we have some fresh tunes from Abo El Anwar, Omar Gangster and Hassa1.

We have ‘Essad Younis’ from Abo El Anwar’s brand-new album ‘Sa7eb El S3ada’. The track features some of Egypt’s biggest rap superstars, Abyusif and Ahmed Santa. Produced by Dr. Mo3geza, the track opens with a cinematic choir-like melody that feels as if pulled out of a classic orchestra show before the three rappers take turns trading aggressive verses in a commanding delivery.

Further down the list, we have Omar Gangster with ‘Drari’, Moroccan rapper Diib with ‘Ambush’ and Hassa1 with ‘Zmani’, along with Mazen $am’s ‘Dol Msh Mena’.
