Wegz’s Latest Birthday Release, '21', Explores Life Through A Darker Lens

Alexandrian trap artist, Wegz, has just released a new birthday ballad— that’s not really about his birthday at all. Titled 21, after his age (or possibly as a secret ode to Adele), the music video follows a young Greaser-looking fellow leading a life of disarray while Wegz contemplates existence by a beach in the dark.

The crooner rose to mainstream fame last year, when his single “Bazeet” started to gain momentum online— and was just remixed as a parody in Molto’s latest ad featuring Maged El Kedwany, Ahmed Malek, and Egyptian pop princess Ruby. This newest bop, however, is a darker turn on what we’ve grown to expect from the artist.
