AFTERSPVCE is the latest instrumental project commanded by Cairo-based songwriter, producer and Mineral Kult DJ Ragy Ahmed, aka BLUFRANK. Released on the artist's independent imprint, SLOVVDK, the four-track EP, Rejected Soundtrack 1, consists primarily of sounds drawn from movie elements. Suctioning us back into the '60s, the album's first two tracks, "Bounty Hunter" and "Assholes Get To Die Twice" comprise nifty amalgamations of cuts from Italian Westerns, laced with a contemporary groove. Meanwhile, the horror-flick and space-opera inspired "Ambient Gun Fight" draws us into darkness. Ending the EP with an ingenious mishmash of snippets from action, horror, spaghetti western and space opera is the track "Thunder Clap, Fin."
